The average temperature of Hawaii is pretty stable throughout the year. Generally, the brochures for Hawaii travel packages will not include any information about non-tourist attractions. The Big Island of Hawaii has a number of smaller towns along the shorelines that are equally enjoyable for anyone wanting to get away from the large touristy beach resorts.

Helicopter rides, para-sailing, hiking, guided tours, and surfing lessons, are all examples of great opportunities you will have in Hawaii. The extra cost of these activities will be well worth the memories created while you enjoy them with your family. You should ask your travel agent about these while you are considering their Hawaii travel packages.
