Although sunglasses were designed to be a protection for the eyes, many of us buy them in order to accessorise with our clothing.  It is very easy to purchase cheap sunglasses but designer sunglasses are more often than not the choice for many these days.  There are many sought after designer brands of sunglasses such as Ray-Bans, Gucci or Oakley sunglasses.

A lot of people follow the styles of celebrities and it is quite normal for celebrities to never leave their homes without their sunglasses.  And although we do know that sunglasses were created to protect the eyes, they still look fabulous too!  There are styles available to suit women, men and children so that everyone can look good in a pair of shades. 

There are styles and designs available to suit everyone’s preferences too.  And the prices of designer shades have dropped in recent years which means they are now affordable by almost everyone.  As there are new styles of designer sunglasses available each year, you might be wondering what 2010 has in store.  Coloured tints are set to be a big trend this year.  We can now choose to have lenses in colourful tints such as mauve instead of blacks or tans which we have been used to.

Many designers have decided to follow in the Ray-Ban footsteps by bringing out a range of colourful frames this year.  And other trends set to be big this year are fun patterned prints on the frames.  It will then be possible to team these frames with other items to create a fabulous look

Designer sunglasses are set to be even more popular this year and with another trend of wrap around frames hitting the shops, there will be many of us rushing out to buy them.  There is expected to be a huge rush on these frames which highlight bone structure and slim the face.
