Bathroom Cleaning Tips

The bathroom is probably the most used areas in your home and it’s easy to see why it can get the dirtiest far more quickly when compared with the remainder of the home.

It is necessary to keep your bathroom aired, to stop mold and mildew from growing as not only will mildew and mold develop on your ceramic tiles and grout, it can wind up in the silicon areas you may have a hard time removing it.  It may result in the actual silicone having to be replaced.

In order to avoid this from occurring be sure to keep doorways open when the bathroom is not in use and open any windows for better air flow.

For the more difficult spots to clean such as the shower recess which often needs scrubbing to get rid of soap scum, spray on a cleaner and allow it to soak to make cleaning easier whilst you handle a few of the other tasks.

The toilet may be stained also, so use a toilet cleaner and allow to soak also.

Mirrors may become rather grubby in the bathroom, often sprayed with tooth paste and drops of water.  These are generally easily eliminated using a product specifically designed for washing glass and mirrors. Just spray and remove using a lint free material.

Shower doors made from glass may be cleaned in the same way, however, you might need to pre spray them before cleaning and they also might require a bit of determined effort to remove the soap scum and hair shampoo residue.

It’s best start from the very top and work your way down.  Begin by scrubbing your tiles, and work your way right down to the floor of the shower stall.  Should you clean your bathroom regularly then you’ll not have such a tough job, however cleaning your bathroom isn’t at the top of everybody’s agenda, and often the scrubbing brush will be needed.

A creamy cleanser which contains a soft abrasive will continue to work best on the tiles, to remove ground in dirt from your feet and soap scum on the actual walls.

Scrub all areas round the faucets and soap dish and rinse from the top down.

Leaving the sink basin till last permits you to use it to rinse out your cloths and sponges as you proceed.

Clean down any cupboards which may have water or tooth paste stains on them and dry with a cloth.

While cleaning your bathroom isn’t everyone’s favorite job, cleaning it regularly will reduce the need to wash and help make cleaning a faster, easier and more enjoyable task.
